Stavo guardando il sito della michelin...non vi sembra che le posteriori siano veramente estreme per un'uso prettamente stradale?
O e' solo una mia impressione.....perc he' forse varrebbe la pena trovare quattro cerchi e montarci le michelin solo quando si va in pista....che dite.

Davanti monta le normali PS2
Certo ENNEMME, ma il rischio è di avere la macchina sbilanciata (sottosterzante) per il differente coefficiente di aderenza tra avanti e dietro.
Tra l'altro una cosa che io personalmente odio è avere la vettura sottosterzante anche alle basse velocità!
Forse - invece - si potrebbero montare i 285/30/18 (magari faendosi anche omologare la misura) sempre SPORT CUP.
Bisognerebbe sentire CARENINI.
Forse all'interiore sarebbe meglio il 265/35/18, più simile all'originale.
Mi piacerebbe fare un sondaggio: a qualcuno le FdO hanno mai controllato la misura delle gomme?
Sono stato fermato molte volte, spesso solo per guardare la macchina, non tutti si sono accorti della mancanza della targa, tutti meno uno hanno chiuso uno, anzi 2 occhi, nessuno ha mai controllato gomme, scarico ecc.
Propenderei più per le 285/30 R18 di cui parla Tony. Tutto sommato la differenza per difetto rispetto alla misura OE è soltanto del 3.31%, quindi non dovrebbero esserci problemi. Ovviamente è meglio sentire Carenini. Però se dovesse passare il tutto, con quelle gomme la Z06 diventa davvero una bestia da pista. E chi la batte più?
Avete visto il filmato della Michelin con le PS2? Su una pista da 1'44", il mitico Ron Fellows ha rosicchiato ben 4" rispetto alle OE della GY. Che gomme!
No Greg, in vent'anni di guida nessuno mi ha mai guardato le gomme. Il problema però verrebbe fuori al primo incidente grave...
Visto che le mie stanno arrivando alla fine stavo anche valutando le Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position, hanno il vantaggio di essere comunque runflat, sono nella misura originale e stando a questa tabella comparativa basata sulla soddisfazione degli utenti sembra che non siano affatto una schifezza:

Diversamente monterò le Michelin Pilot Sport PS2, al posteriore nella misura 345/30/19 e poi vedrò di farle omologare.

Earlier this week, Michelin invited select media to Laurens Proving Grounds, its testing facility, in Laurens County, S.C., for the launch of its two new tires for the Corvette, the Pilot Sport All-Season Plus and the Pilot Sport PS2 ZP.
The tires were put to the test in exercises in wet braking, wet handling, dry handling and comfort against competitors’ tires.
The Pilot Sport A/S Plus, though not visibly different from the original Pilot Sport, contains technology that allows for improvements in all-weather performance, wet grip and tread-life, according to Michelin.
The tire features three specialized rubber compaounds across the tread, helping to elevate a car's performance in virtually every type of weather, from wet to dry to winter conditions. Directional tread pattern and wet-weather silica compound combine for extreme wet-weather control. The tapered grooves of symmetrical tread design channel water away from the tire's contact patch to provide excellent wet grip in wet conditions, the company said.
The Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires are the first UHP tires to be backed by a 45,000-mile manufacturer's limited warranty, Michelin said.
The Pilot Sport A/S Plus tire goes on sale in the U.S. Sept. 1. It will be available in 59 sizes, 25% more sizes than the previous generation. At launch, the tire will be available in 29 sizes and the remainder will be introduced in March 2009. Complete sizing options will range from 205/55ZR16 up to 265/30ZR22.
Michelin’s other new offering, the Pilot Sport PS2 ZP, is now available for the Corvette C5, C6Z06 as a plus-one fitment and additional sizes for the C6 model in October.
A UHP summer tire, the Pilot Sport PS2 ZP evolves from the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 family of low-profile, Z-rated tires. The tire offers all the impressive performance characteristics of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires, plus run-flat capability. It also delivers comfort levels similar to those of standard Pilot Sport PS2 tires, while delivering improved cornering control, thanks to an advanced sidewall and variable contact patch technology, the tiremaker said.
The tire features a unique, asymmetric tread pattern and a highly-customized tread compound, to delivers wet and dry performance for crisp cornering and high-speed capability. The asymmetric tread design presents large outer shoulder blocks and continuous intermediate and center ribs to enhance steering response and cornering stability. The inner lining tread design features a higher groove to rubber ratio with wide circumferential grooves and lateral notches that help channel water through the footprint to enhance wet road traction, Michelin said.
Available on Aug. 1, replacement tire sizes for the Corvette C5 include: 245/45ZR17 95Y and 275/40ZR18 99Y. Replacement tire sizes (as a plus-one fitment) for the Corvette C6Z06 include: P285/35ZR19 (87Y) and P335/30ZR20 (94Y).
Available in October, replacement tire sizes for the Corvette C6 will include: 245/40ZR18 93Y, 285/35ZR19 99Y.

Il fatto e' che in america, molto probabilmente, non hanno problemi a montare misure differenti di gomme rispetto a quello riportato a libretto...infatti parla di 285 ant. e 335 post. per la c6 z06......
