Le mani me le sporco appena arriva la pompa, nell'attesa voglio essere sicuro di fare il lavoro fatto bene e possibilmente senza impazzire, visto che il problema del pushrod nel rimontaggio della pompa è risaputo...

Il metodo del grasso denso l'avevo già sentito (bisogna comunque rimuovere la flangia per forza?)

In alternativa, sperando di trovare una vite della giusta misura :

On the front side of the block, around from the fuel pump, there is a small bolt. This bolt goes into the area where the fuel pump pushrod goes. Pull the small bolt out and get a bolt of the same thread size only longer. Now push the pushrod back up in to place and thread the longer bolt into the hole on the front of the block and use it to hold the pushrod in place. Install your pump and then remove the bolt holding the pushrod. Reinstall the short bolt in the hole after putting some RTV sealant on the threads.
